PRESCHOOL CURRICULUM

Preschool: Each day children are given opportunities to explore, investigate, create, imagine and play. Curriculum is developed to meet the developmental needs of the children. Children participate in oral language, math and science activities daily. All activities are hands-on and designed to foster success and are created to make "learning simply fun!" Games and cooperative activities are built into the daily curriculum. Children learn to make choices, decision and how to get along with others. Curriculum is designed to assist children in developing to their potential and to prepare them to enter school. Our goal is to assist children in developing a “Love for Learning.” The following learning centers are available to children each day:

Dramatic Play (Dress Up)   Kitchen   Sand   Water

Woodworking    Manipulatives  Art   Blocks

Book Nook     Computers   Train   Writing

Morning circle time begins at 8:15 a.m. Please make sure that your child is in class and has washed their hands before circle time begins so they do not miss any of their curriculum or disrupt the class by coming in late. 

Staff Members: The staff at Tender Loving Care are experienced and trained in early childhood education. Staff have completed various degrees and trainings. All staff members are required to have a minimum of 20 hours of continuing education each year and must remain current in CPR and First Aid. Staff members are carefully chosen and trained to insure they are well qualified for the positions they fill.
