Tender Loving Care can give medications if needed to your child. Upon arrival, parents must give medication to the Director. A signed parental consent will be given to the parent. Please indicate;
* The child’s name
* The name of the medication
* The amount of medication to be given
* The time the medication is to be given
* If the medication is to be given by mouth, or in the eye or ear
* Special instructions, (if to be taken with food)
* Parent’s signature
The medication mustbe in the original container with the child’s name on it. (Plastic bags are not acceptable.)
There must be a label on the medication and it must be a current date. (If you have one child with a prescription medication, we are not able to give it to a sibling without a physician’s prescription.)
Over-the-Counter-Medications: Parental consent forms must also be completed for over the counter medications.
If medication is to be taken once or twice a day, please work this in to your schedule to give at home.
Diaper Rash: Parents will often use Boudreaux’s Butt Paste or Desitin to prevent diaper rash. But they are not used to heal diaper rash. Diaper rash is caused by yeast in the urine. Over the counter yeast medicine such as Gyne-Lotrimin or Monistat actually treat the yeast.
